Fábrica 390 is the transformation of the old "A Varina" industrial unit, founded in 1908 in Ovar and established in Matosinhos, Portugal, in 1914. Situated next to the Port of Leixões, the factory was an icon of the Portuguese canning industry. It was later closed down and the building converted into a hypermarket in 2013 and then redeveloped for a new urban use. Responsibility of the Casais Group, with construction by Casais Construction and architecture by the OODA studio, the intervention respects the original design of the building, maintaining the exterior walls and incorporating contemporary elements. It is in the flats, spread over 6 floors, that HAPA taps and bathroom accessories make their presence felt, making the spaces even more beautiful and qualitative. A curiosity? The project includes a mural by the renowned Portuguese artist Vhils, which adds an artistic touch to the development.
